Fourth of July Paper Garland This simple and cute garland is a fun craft for children of all ages to help make. We cut our stars from card stock, but you can use construction paper, felt, foam, or other paper that you have on hand. For an extra special touch, add cut outs or postcards of American things and locations. Yarn can also be used in place of the ribbon if desired.
Red, white, and blue card stock
Scissors
Hole punch
Red, white, and blue 1/4 inch wide ribbon
Using the scissors, cut a variety of stars in different shapes and sizes from the card stock. Fold each star in half lengthwise and using the hole punch, create two evenly spaced holes for hanging. String the stars onto the ribbons, threading the ribbon into the star from the top left side and passing underneath the star and exiting through the bottom right side in order not to block the stars. Once all of the stars have been threaded onto the ribbon, tie a decorative bow on each end. Hang the garland in a favorite place.
