Craft Project - Toolbox Candy Samplerby Wen Zientek-Sico Sometimes the simplest of gifts are the most popular, and this gift is no exception. People will talk about this gift for months after you give it to them! Any small compartmentalized container can be used…sewing kits, tackle boxes, bead boxes, or even jewelry boxes.

Toolbox Candy Sampler Your favorite handy man will enjoy this box of goodies…and the gift of a box he can use over and over again. Toolbox organizers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but you should choose one that is clear so your receiver will know what kind of candies he has to choose from…plus it makes for a really impressive and attractive gift. We purchased all of our candy from the bulk food section in a local grocery store, which actually made this project quite inexpensive.
1 clear plastic toolbox organizer
Assorted candies, nuts, seeds, and other treats, preferably one for each section
Clean the plastic organizer with hot soapy water. Let dry thoroughly. Fill each section with a different candy or treat. From left to right, starting at the top we used:
- Chocolate covered peanuts
- Roasted almonds
- Plain candy coated chocolate candies
- Roasted peanuts
- Sour fruits
- Cherry jelly beans
- Cinnamon imperials
- Candy coated licorice pieces
- Orange jelly beans
- Roasted and salted pumpkin seeds
- Chocolate covered raisins
- Shelled sunflower seeds
- Gummy bears
- Macadamia nuts
- Gum
- Blueberry jelly beans
- Mini fruit wedges
- Red pistachios
Fill each section completely, but do not overfill or the top will not close. Close the container and store in a cool dry place safe from snackers and pets until you are ready to give.
