DAD Hanger A very simple project for children large and small, this hanger is a great project that can be completed in just a few minutes if you use pre-painted letters. The hanger is excellent for hanging around door knobs, on Dad's golf bag, for a large key chain, or even as the Dad who received this hanger decided, from your rear view mirror.
2 painted wooden letter D's
1 painted wooden letter A
8 wooden or plastic beads
24 inches plastic cord
Assemble all of your materials on your work surface. Thread the cord through the first bead. Move the bead to the center of the cord. Tie the cord into a knot right above the bead. You should have two pieces of cord to work with now that are about the same length. Thread both pieces through the second bead. Tie the cord into a knot snugly above the bead. Loop one cord around the front of bottom of the first D and the other cord around the back. Tie the two cords together in the center hole of the D. Loop one length of the cord around the front of the top of the D and the other length around the back of the top of the D. Tie the cord into a double knot. Thread both pieces of cord through the another bead. Tie the cord into a knot snugly above the bead. Repeat with a second bead. Loop one cord around the front of the bar in the A and the other cord around the back. Tie the two cords together in the center hole of the A. Loop one length of the cord around the front of the top of the A and the other length around the back of the top of the A. Tie the cord into a double knot. Thread both pieces of cord through the another bead. Tie the cord into a knot snugly above the bead. Repeat with a second bead. Loop one cord around the front of bottom of the second D and the other cord around the back. Make a loop to hang the letters with using the remaining cord and tie into a tight knot.
