I Love Baseball Box Give your favorite baseball fan this cute box which makes for a delightful gift. Better yet, help your favorite fan create this box themselves. It is a fun, easy project that children of all ages will enjoy. Smaller or larger round boxes can be used, and a tower of these boxes in assorted sizes makes great storage for your favorite slugger. If you do not have a red paint pen, red acrylic paint and a very fine brush can be used instead.
4 inch round papier mache or wood box
Paint brush
White acrylic paint
Red acrylic paint pen
Rub on baseball designs or stickers
Varnish or sealer (optional)
Cover your work surface with newspaper. Paint the round box with a coat of the white acrylic paint. Let dry for at least an hour (or as long as the paint directions specify). Apply a second coat and let dry for at least an hour. Once the white paint is dry, add the baseball detail to the top of the box as shown in the photo using the red paint pen. Add the "I Love Baseball" slogan around the rim of the box. Place the top on the box and trace a line on the bottom of box using the edge of the top of the box as a guide. Add assorted rub on designs or stickers if desired to the bottom and inside of the box. Let dry thoroughly. Spray or brush on varnish or sealer if desired. Let dry thoroughly in between coats.
